Pte. Gilbert Stead

Gilbert Stead (1895-?) of Samson served in the Canadian Army.

The following appeared in The Fishermen's Advocate, August 24, 1951:

...Gilbert Stead left Newfoundland in 1913 and went into construction work in the United States. He served with the Canadians in World War I and he later had two sons and a daughter in World War II. One son is now on his second trip back to Korea...
